The Great Indie Bake Off Results!
The results are in… the people have spoken… and the best cake is… Appy!

If you were paying attention, you’ll know that Appy didn’t really want to win, since they outsourced their entry to the local bakers. But, we included them in the vote once the prizes were being given to a random voter, and look what went and happened. Congratulations to them, but I’m sure our good friends at Appy Entertainment will join us in declaring that the true champion of the Great Indie Bake Off 2008 is… Chirp!

The Chirp! cake came second to Appy by a handful of votes, and had a clear lead over all the other cakes.
To complete the top 5 rundown, the Flick Bowling cake came in third, followed by our own Sneezies, closely followed by Tim’s BurnBall Bento.
The winning voter has been confirmed, he is Sean Waters. Congratulations Sean!

Thanks to everyone who entered the Bake Off, and to everyone who donated prizes. It’s been a fun ride, and I hope we can do it again sometime.
Special thanks have to go to BurnBall creator Tim Haines, to Evan from Veiled Games, Peter from Byteclub, Justin from AppBeacon, for their support and help at various stages of the contest, and of course, to Jeff Scott from 148apps for running the poll. If I didn’t mention you, feel free to give me a hard time next time you see me.

Appy Entertainment would like to thank all the little people that made this award possible … and of course to congratulate the folks at Spiny Software and everyone else who legitimately produced their own cakes!
Thanks also to Gavin at Antair for thinking this up and 148apps for hosting the voting.
When’s the NEXT contest? Maybe we could make snowmen out of mashed potatoes or something!

Heh! How excellent!
Huge thanks all involved from us here at Spiny, for the time and effort put into running and promoting this fun contest, and thanks also to Appy for sharing the glory :D.

Also gave you proper respect and a link on our Appy Place blog this morning, Spiny … and we really will be downloading Chirp, which looks like something my kids will enjoy. Congrats!
